Something I have noticed in recent movies and TV. (moist.catsweat.com)

Ok. So its something im sorta frustrated with in movie and film plots. Its where the characters seem to intentionally not tell other characters things for apparently no reason. So its like a fair amount of the plot would not exist if the characters would just mention relevant things. This is usually in fantasy types like in particular I am seeing it with the magicians and school spirits. I mean maybe behavior like this is common outside my experience but its weird to me.

Thank you so much for posting this because I had the same thought a few years ago but lost it ๐Ÿ˜‚

Really good shows don't have this problem as much. There were times in Severance (my recent show obsession) where I thought some communication between characters would have made more sense - but upon reflection it seemed fair what they were keeping from each other.

But yeah some shows are like "if these two people had a 3 message text conversation the entire plot wouldn't exist" ๐Ÿ˜‚
