Way to go to sprinkle your odyssey with some prejudice.
Um, ackshually
"Prejudice can be an affective feeling towards a person based on their perceived group membership."
My feelings toward him are not based on group membership. That being said, how would you know I have no German ancestry? Especially considering my also (evidently) dry humor. (If you can't tell that was another attempt at humor)
Besides all that though, I am sorry for what I said to him and actually regret saying it. Going back and reading what he said, it is apparent that he was adding to the joke while still asserting his stance and I acted way fucking out of line, I misplaced it as hostility and should have thought more into it before I replied (though honestly at the time I was having a bad day and probably would not have got it then anyways).
Regardless, that is no excuse for how I acted and I am sorry for it. If he sees this, I hope he can forgive me for my behavior and completely understand if he does not as he'd be justified in not doing so. I like to keep an air of positivity in my actions and I let my bitterness get the best of me. I am sorry.
I wouldn't go on to say that I am a Schrödinger's douchebag so much as an actual asshole, which I consider to be far worse. I know it is a silly little internet debacle but there is still a person on the other end of that screen, and I still said what I said to him.
