Rules: (interactive)

1) Be nice and; have funDoxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

2) All posts must end with a '?'This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?

3) No spamPlease do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.

4) NSFW is okay, within reasonJust remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com. NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].

5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions. If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.

6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !uspolitics@lemmy.world

7) No Hit-and-Run questions.
Please don't delete your post for no apparent reason. If you plan on deleting a question later, say so in the post, or if you feel that you have a good reason to remove it, message a mod beforehand. I wish people noticed how much fucking space they take up.

All the fucking time I go to the shops or something and some oblivious dolt just stops walking, usually right in the middle of a fucking choke point.

I wish people would treat walking like they should treat driving; look around. Don't stop in the middle of a highway. If you need to stop, pull over. If you're walking slow, use the slow lane.

We need pedestrian traffic rules because this shit evidently is not intuitive to a lot of people.

The amount of people that arent aware of their space around them I have to drive around on a primarily bike lane on my commute is too high.

I clean windows and the amount of people that see me cleaning a door and proceed to squeeze through the door I'm actively cleaning while there is another door literally next to it drives me nuts. They just see an open door and have to go through it like moths to a flame. I hate how oblivious people are in public.

Have you tried switching to Linux?

Every day where I find the restraint not to yell "FUCK OUT THE WAY GODDAMNIT" at random people is a successful day. It's like some folks don't even wanna get wherever they're going.

This is just people being inconsiderate in general, and whether it's in an aisle or on the road I think the sentiment is the same. I wish people would notice others around them more. We'd have to have a much more empathetic culture for that tho :/
