Very very much. There's still the occasional episode of JarJar, or the droids, but it does get really good. There's just so damn much that... isn't.

There's various "watching guides" out there that put the episodes in chronological order, and some of them also try to trim it down to the "essential" episodes. It takes effort to get a good watching experience of it, but the good parts are great and fill in much needed character development the prequels lacked.
