You can't either it seems since I'm not American. What's with assuming everyone online is American lol
What a ridiculous assumption, most of the world can speak English you know. Shame on this America centrism and people who perpetuate it. Shame especially on you since you accused me over your baseless assumption. Shame, shame
I just dislike people assuming shit, especially dislike the America centrism. You can do better
Pretty funny expecting everyone else to behave in a different way or speak some other lantuage to deflect your America centrism. Could just learn that other countries exist too, nah too hard
Do better, friend
It's not often you meet someone who feels so entitled to making false assumptions about people. And who digs in even when it's pointed out that they're wrong.
Not going around assuming stuff about people is sorta just basic good manners. It's 2025 my friend. You put youself in some pretty interesting company by demanding to be allowed to assume stuff about people. Smdh.
If someone is going to incorrectly assume I'm an American I'd prefer the term Yank. It sounds better. But iiwii
It seems a little strained
I'm against that in general and against US defaultism more specifically, which is assuming everyone is American. I just think the particular term is strained. Yank is much better for example
I just think it's a bit strained, it sounds clunky
I'm not a native English speaker, if that's what you mean
Wouldn't you be bothered if I incorrectly assumer you were a Yank?
Wouldn't someone making that assumption bother you?
I haven't had anything happen to me in this thread though. Or wdym
