That sounds like a Texas thing to me. My dad lived in a town that is close to Austin, and their city power infrastructure was just fucking terrible.

I don't really have any problems with that, it's still mostly okay, it's even still Georgia Power technically, but because it's through the city I can't use their "energy saving marketplace" or whatever.
