Rice, lentils and beans.

Affordable, store forever, can cook em in a thousand ways. I think half of the calories I eat come from those 3.

Wash them before you cook them, it really helps. Even better if you put them in water overnight.

Sure!

Mujadara is my favourite.

Cassoulet is amazing.

Rice and bean wraps, with bell peppers, brocolli, and cheese.

Onion and bean soup.

Rice and mince stuffed bell peppers.

There's even sweets, like rice pudding made with coconut milk.
