It wasn't terrible, but still not as good as the original. I don't think anyone can replace Leslie Nielsen.

Casting Liam Neeson is strong evidence they understood the assignment. You need a dramatic actor to lead a Naked Gun film.

You need an actor with a name that's hilariously similar to Leslie Nelson. Lol

I'm convinced this was 90% of the reason he was picked.

I agree with this, it was a Naked Gun movie and as a standalone product I enjoyed it quite a bit.

It wasn't Leslie Nielsen, but they do have the same initials so that's good enough for me.
