Edit: The link was Novara, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCAN2Ay0OS4, but they seem to have gone to sleep. I switched it to the AP's livestream which seems to be just doing the raw feed with audio.

I'm not really sure what is happening. A woman on one boat said that they were the last boat, but the tracker still shows many in the unintercepted status with one quite close to Gaza. The people in YouTube chat are my only source of information and they are clearly morons. If I had to guess, I would say that there are 1-2 boats still going, most captured, the tracker hasn't updated to show all the intercepted ones, and Israel is transporting some of the boats around and that's why they show as a little bit scattered on the tracker. But who knows.

Timeline (all in UTC):

  • 18:50 - Adara is boarded, Novara's correspondent Kieran Andrieu throws his phone in the water
  • 19:09 - Confirmed that Alma, Sirius, and Adara have been boarded (3 big boats out of 41, carrying about 100 people out of 500)
  • 20:09 - I didn't know this: There were 26,000 people who applied to be on the flotilla. They selected 500 people in total to participate, and then trained them extensively with live practice scenarios in how to react nonviolently so as to not give Israel a pretext to start killing people
  • 20:48 - They aren't really doing anything, they are spraying the flotilla boats with water cannons and telling them to cut off their engines or else they'll keep spraying water
  • 20:49 - They arrested Greta Thunberg and took video of themselves giving her warm clothes and water
  • 21:20 - They rammed one of the boats (the "Florida"). No one on board was hurt.
  • 21:41 - "I was watching BBC News 24 cover this, and guess where their journalist was? He wasn't on one of these boats. He was in Jerusalem."
  • 22:29 - 8 boats intercepted so far
  • 22:42 - 9 boats (32 still going)
  • 23:51 - 12 boats now, 29 still going. Sunrise is 03:36 UTC. They are roasting the BBC again for deciding to report on this event from Jerusalem.
  • 00:22 - Interview with another reporter. He asks her why the flotilla isn't being covered in most of the media, she says that according to reporters she's talked to, it is being discouraged as, more or less, "activist news."
  • 00:33 - 13 boats
  • 02:37 - Some more boats surrounded by IDF then communications jammed
  • 03:37 - It is morning, there are still boats going. One woman is saying she thinks theirs will be boarded soon. A while back someone estimated that they will reach Gaza around 07:00 if they are not stopped before. Tracker says 14 boats captured, 27 still going, looks like maybe 70 km from the coast.
  • 03:59 - That woman's boat was, in fact, boarded. Soldiers pulled up alongside and came on and cut the feed. Generally what they've been doing is pulling them off the boat, taking them back to Israel, and then giving the choice of either being deported or staying in custody in Israel to stand trial for supposed crimes. When they are deported is generally the first time that the outside world will get to hear from them again. More soldiers are coming onto one of the other boats now, on another feed. There are a ton of people sitting at a big dining table with their hands up, and one soldier coming in and gesturing at them carelessly with a rifle held in one hand in this absolutely awful Steven Seagal grip.
  • 04:28 - They are going down the stairs on board one intercepted boat. The second guy in line has his gun pointed directly at the first guy's ass, and then the third guy has his gun pointed directly at the second guy's center mass. You can see why they mainly prefer to fight families and apartment blocks, and anything actually armed they attack from super-long range instead. These guys make the LAPD look super qualified.
  • 04:48 - One boat left. It's a sailboat, they have not a lot of wind so they are not really going anywhere and the Israelis are nowhere near them as far as they know.
  • 04:56 - Two boats! One of the sailboats' feed came back, and it was just a dude standing on deck in his speedos. He's put some clothes on and they are still going on as of right now.
  • 05:39 - One of the YouTube chat people told one of the Israel trolls to "shut your beak" and I think that's beautiful
  • 07:18 - Final boat being boarded. It only took this long because they had engine trouble and had to try to sail, so they were way off in the middle of nowhere relatively speaking. The livestream is having trouble all of a sudden (presumably from Israeli jamming) and the person running the livestream was revolving their mouse cursor in frustration about it.
  • 07:31 - Final boat feed is cut off, they switched to just showing a beach (presumably near where they were going to land). Maybe I missed something and there are un accounted for boats, but it seems like the show's over.
