If the evidence is indeed overwhelming and procedures are following correctly then justice will be served.
In either scenario pleading guilty is a mistake:
If he did not do it then he should not be punished and fight all charges against his innocence. I hope thats a given
But if he did do it then he is really representing a cause to “fight back against the system” therefore the goal is to drag this case out and maximise news coverage to highlight that cause and possibly become a martyr. Not to admit wrong and look weak and regretful.
I wonder if you or him will feel stupid when they announce he's getting the chair or the rope.

Judging by his reaction to fanmail, asking you all to please stop, I get the feeling Luigi doesn't give a shit about your devotion. He did this because he thought he could walk away afterwards.

I don’t believe i have expressed any opinion on the matter, it’s you who seem to be emotionally involved with this case.
If you want to know i think the whole thing is very interesting and i am curious to find out how it evolves. And when it evolves no further, i take what i learned and move on.
