Tool-Assisted Speedrun in 47 hours, 41 minutes, and 12 seconds (World Record).

I designed a Pi Pico-based TAS device, then used it to input every frame of the Bad Apple music video into Animal Crossing’s design editor. Footage sped up by about 750x to make it actually watchable. Each frame took about 2 and a half minutes to render.

I assumed this was done in an emulator with TAS scripts, but on real hardware? I'm even more impressed! Nice work.

Thanks for checking it out! Yep, all running on a real GameCube. I left the poor thing running for about a week to get this footage (it took a few takes to get right). All the code, plus a schematic for the hardware is available here: https://github.com/hunterirving/pico-crossing
