Florida gubernatorial candidate James Fishback says his plan to visit every Waffle House in Florida to "meet voters where they are" has been derailed.

That's because he's been banned, he said.

In a release posted to X on Thursday, March 5, Fishback shared a statement saying that "this morning, Waffle House abruptly revoked our permission, and criminally trespassed us from all of their Florida locations."

Fishback, a Republican and one of 41 current candidates to replace outgoing Gov. Ron DeSantis, said he had previously received permission from Waffle House's corporate office to visit every location in Florida to "meet voters where they are."

Waffle House is GOAT?

I do love me some Waffle House, I'd be sad to be banned. My favorite thing to do at a Waffle House is to ask for pancakes, but that's something you only do once. Sadly, I can't afford to eat out anymore.

If you can't afford Waffle House that's some serious brokeness, I'm so sorry :(

Waffle House has raised their overall prices by 96% since 2020. Hash browns increased by 110% and coffee went from $1.80 to $3.15. At one point, they added a $0.50 cent surcharge per egg due to the shortages caused by the avian flu. I’m not sure if that’s still that case today.

It’s easy and cheap to make breakfast at home. Waffle House ain’t cheap anymore. I’m sorry for you if you’re paying those prices for mid waffles with a side of eggs.

Ouch oof, I don't live where there's Waffle Houses anymore but idk why I assumed they'd be the one business not to jack up their prices because they avoided it in the past. That's insane, do they know why people go to them?

I think it's depending on the area. On a roadtrip I found 2 with very different prices, about a 60% difference.

The cheap one was in a gas station town in the middle of nowhere and the expensive one in a nice suburb of a medium city

This is how they stop you from bringing your bitch to the waffle hut... or cause shock and surprise, when you do.

Waffle House used to be cheap. Now their Big Breakfast, with a drink and tip, is closing in on $20 per person.

It's worth every penny.

Their prices are WAY higher than they used to be. I mean, so are just about everyone else's, but theirs are insane now for, well, what you get. And what they used to be.

He's only banned from running political crap. Pretty sure he could still go to a waffle house and enjoy breakfast at 2am
