RULES:

I am looking for mods!

1. The "good" part of our community means we are pro-empathy and anti-harassment. However, we don't intend to make this a "safe space" where everyone has to be a saint. Sh*t happens, and life is messy. That's why we get things off our chests.

2. Bigotry is not allowed. That includes racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religiophobia. (If you want to vent about religion, that's fine; but religion is not inherently evil.)

3. Frustrated, venting, or angry posts are still welcome.

4. Posts and comments that bait, threaten, or incite harassment are not allowed.

5. If anyone offers mental, medical, or professional advice here, please remember to take it with a grain of salt. Seek out real professionals if needed.

6. Please put NSFW behind NSFW tags.

When I wake up, I'll be an adult. Tomorrow is my birthday. I'm so not ready.

Your 20s can be a lot of fun! You'll always look back at them as the time when your body didn't have weird aches and pains, so enjoy it!

What should I do to make the most of my 20s? It's so hard to appreciate stuff when you don't know what to appreciate because you've never lived without it before

Get into regular exercise, nothing too crazy like bodybuilding but some cardio and little bit of weights will pay dividends at 30.

Hard to suggest stuff without knowing what you're into, but I'd definitely echo the comment by u/eyes about doing something active, preferably regularly like once or twice a week. Team sports are good for this, or if you're not a sport-type you might try hiking or volunteering with local nature orgs.

Let your interests guide you and meet as many folks as possible. Lots of friendships to be made in your new adult life.
