It seems like the kids' laptop has developed a very spicy pillow. To the extent I can't open the case to look at it. I'm hoping I can pry this thing open because whilst it's from 2012 I'd rather save it from becoming ewaste. I just put Wacky Wheels on this thing for them!
I'd throw the whole thing in e-waste personally ๐. No way am I gonna attempt any repair with a pillow battery ๐
I'll try take the battery out one more time when it hasn't been used or on charge for a while. Otherwise, I guess we'll have to chuck it. I have another older laptop that's a massive spec upgrade from this one I'm not using I was figuring out what to do with, it could always be donated to the kids
Yeah nah. Save anything useful and time to thank it for its service send it to e-waste heaven.
