Yes. Just read the story of Job to see how big of a bastard God is in The Bible

understood nothing about the book of Job award

[–] mnemonicmonkeys@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Really?

Go reread it. You're the one who didn't understand it.

Also go reread the Adam and Eve story. They're rewarded for being ignorant sheep, and punished for gaining knowledge. That's not the behavior of a benevolent ruler, it's the behavior of a power-hungry dictator

Especially considering he was already all-powerful. He knew what would happen and he did it anyway. Seemingly, he's a cruel piece of shit who just wanted an excuse to eternally torture his weird little dolls.

Without knowledge of good and evil, how were they supposed to know that god was good and snake was evil? It was entrapment.

The book where god allows satan (whom god created) to wreck Job's life, including killing his children?

Oh, but it's fine, because at the end Job is rewarded with new children? Who gives a shit about the old ones. Life isn't precious according to your god, it's all about making more disposable slaves for him.

It's a book about accepting physical and verbal abuse. It's a book about doing what you are told even when it is wrong. It's a book about hate, but you call it "love".

That was a test of faith for Job.
