Is it just me or does anyone else suffer fatigue from all the stelaris dlc? I loved the game, but it seemed that every major dlc drop also changed the base game. I just want to play the game I own, but every six month I had to relearn it and eventually I moved on to other things because it was such a pain.
Definitely. It is great if you're playing it as a lifestyle game, but if you're at all intermittent at some point it's just unapproachable. Especially because it's not like the free updates add stuff that is just around and you can ignore. A lot of it is mandatory systems that are half baked without the associated dlc.
This model works great the way total war Warhammer does it, but I kinda wish paradox stuck with traditional expansions and a base game experience that stay stable.
This dlc sounds cool, but I can't be assed to learn all the new mechanics just to try it.
Related, I miss the asymmetric ftl from 1.0. i understand why they changed it, but it sucks that game is just gone.
