Not to defend them because I think it is a bullshit move, however, didn't GTAV also release first on consoles?
GTA has released first on consoles ever since GTA3. Every single one except 1 and 2, didn't come to PC for at least a year.
And wasn't that also bad?
I had an Xbox 360 just for GTA 5. I bought a PS4 just for RDR2. I'm sure as hell not buying a PS5 for this.
Also there were planned DLC for GTA 5 single player that got axed once people started spending money online.

Yep, and that's why I never bought it. It released way too late at full price, fuck you Sony.
Got it for free on Epic.
And it sold gangbusters; making the arguments against that practice a little hard to hold, as frustrating as that is for consumers.
I think all of them did, at least GTA 3 and onward
