Maybe, I think it's more likely just lazy writing/composition. Not that the entire thing is badly written, though it could certainly by more engaging, literarily. The whole visual article thing doesn't help imo, it disrupts the text so much, it makes it feel like they just wrote a few sentences and then added a bunch of bs to fill it out. To be clear, I don't really think this author did that (though they did needlessly repeat themselves a lot), it's just an issue I'm realizing I have with the medium.
