A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

A zero-tolerance policy for bigotry of any kind. Failure to respect this will result in a ban.

6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc. This includes instance shaming.

Yum! Slimy lettuce!

Genuinely, I don't know how you would go about cooking lettuce into a dish. Spinach or kale I get since they are tougher leaves, but I can't say I've ever heard of cooked lettuce.

Soup, you can also just stirfry at high temp, it will still be crunchy if you fully cook it in about 90 seconds at like 375 degrees.

It's a traditional dish in the southern Appalachians and is called kilt (killed) lettuce, usually made by pouring hot bacon grease over lettuce.

Fry some cubed potato in the grease first, maybe throw in carrot and other veggies, then add to the lettuce for a really good, but unhealthy salad.
