Tankies can explain their views, but may be criticised or challenged for them. Any minor infraction of the rules may result in a warning and possibly a temporary ban.

I had a quick browse through their profile and modlog and couldn't find it.
I saw comments with a similar vibe so I don't much doubt they said it, and it's rather just a federation issue or incompetence on my end, but a link would make your quote more credible.
Edit: it's in the modlog (3 months ago). I just copy pasted the middle part and dropped where he talks about Russia since it didn't seem relevant. I didn't want to post a wall of text.

While there is no rule against being Zionist here, I will suggest to them to tread carefully because it will become very uncomfortable in here to someone who is so blatantly zionist. And I am not the one who uses the term as liberally as peeps from the tankie triad or dbzer0. Nonetheless, I take huge issue with people who deny the Palestinian genocide or any genocide for that matter (such as the trans genocide).

The second comment is just me being annoyed. "Rape" is so inaccurate and overused. The article this is from describes something more in the direction of torture than rape.
Tankies aren't communists though. Show me where they ever moved towards communism instead of a totalitarian shithole. Like I am a eurocom for example. At least we try to move closer to a communist endgoal through democratic socialism. Tankies don't even do that. They do sham democracies with sham elections and have dictators.
And tankies call me an anti-communist not because I am against communism, but against tankies. They hate me for liking George Orwell, somewhat liking Tito and liking Dubcek. They hate me, because I don't think they are communists even though they like to claim they are.
Also "a communist being a mod here is sad" is why you wont be welcome here anymore. You clearly can't differentiate between communist and tankie.

I don't remember what that was was in response to, but it sounds like I'm comparing Israel to Russia. In which case I'm just right that Israel is way better.
But please do tell me where I was wrong there.
The "west" thing about Israel is that they are historically an ally of the US (still are) and a democracy with open archives, so we can see the bad things they did. None of the Arab states let people into the archives, so the comparison always feels weird.
As for "Zionist": Yes Israel has a right to exist. I like how the internet pretends like that's not a completely normal opinion XD
