I am looking for mods!

1. The "good" part of our community means we are pro-empathy and anti-harassment. However, we don't intend to make this a "safe space" where everyone has to be a saint. Sh*t happens, and life is messy. That's why we get things off our chests.

2. Bigotry is not allowed. That includes racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religiophobia. (If you want to vent about religion, that's fine; but religion is not inherently evil.)

3. Frustrated, venting, or angry posts are still welcome.

4. Posts and comments that bait, threaten, or incite harassment are not allowed.

5. If anyone offers mental, medical, or professional advice here, please remember to take it with a grain of salt. Seek out real professionals if needed.

6. Please put NSFW behind NSFW tags.

I'm staying in my brother's house and there has been so many instances where something weird happened that I'm starting to think there's indeed a presence in this house.

They all happen in the second floor and the stairs to the third floor but never in the third floor or the first one, even tho the first floor is darker and scarier. I've slept there many times and nothing ever happens.

Now the second floor is another story... The balcony's door opening by itself, hearing steps when there's no one in the house, extremely loud noises of something falling to the floor, noises of the chairs in the dining room being moved, and knocking noises on the second floor's bedroom.

I've slept in that bedroom with a friend, all night long knocking noises that are too ambiguous to know where they specifically come from, sometimes the knocking is faster and then it slows down. The scariest thing is that my friend asked it to stop and it indeed stopped for a few seconds before it starting again... I swear I almost peed myself.

The way these things have happened here don't seem like just shifting wood. It's something that you need to be there to actually understand why we think it's paranormal. Three of the people living in this house are doctors, we're not superstitious people, but this is making us at least doubt. The way the balcony's door opened by itself from the inside (you can't open it from outside), moving furniture noises. And it's not like this things happen when we're alone, they happen while we're together so we know we're not imagining it.

Oh I don't believe you're imagining anything. I 100% believe you that strange things are happening but ask yourself this, what are the odds that after hundreds of years of people experiencing the exact same stuff you describe and spending millions of dollars looking for paranormal activity and finding none, and millions in bounties still out, you all are the first to actually experience real paranormal activity?

Everything you've described is documented and various causes exist, I only gave a few examples.

Wood and pipes and tile move a lot more than you might think and the forces can cause some really strange things to happen. Wind, humidity, normal human movement all adds on top to the stresses that cause things to shift.
