In the closing credits, there is a scene that suggests it was all a make believe story by two young boys playing with their toys all along.
Depending on what the rest of the movie is like, that wouldn't be the worst thing.
Great idea for a Princess Bride framing device. High-intensity drama and action occasionally interrupted by the eight-year-olds improvising an off-brand Michael Bay script. You could get away with anything.
