I am looking for mods!

1. The "good" part of our community means we are pro-empathy and anti-harassment. However, we don't intend to make this a "safe space" where everyone has to be a saint. Sh*t happens, and life is messy. That's why we get things off our chests.

2. Bigotry is not allowed. That includes racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religiophobia. (If you want to vent about religion, that's fine; but religion is not inherently evil.)

3. Frustrated, venting, or angry posts are still welcome.

4. Posts and comments that bait, threaten, or incite harassment are not allowed.

5. If anyone offers mental, medical, or professional advice here, please remember to take it with a grain of salt. Seek out real professionals if needed.

6. Please put NSFW behind NSFW tags.

I'm staying in my brother's house and there has been so many instances where something weird happened that I'm starting to think there's indeed a presence in this house.

They all happen in the second floor and the stairs to the third floor but never in the third floor or the first one, even tho the first floor is darker and scarier. I've slept there many times and nothing ever happens.

Now the second floor is another story... The balcony's door opening by itself, hearing steps when there's no one in the house, extremely loud noises of something falling to the floor, noises of the chairs in the dining room being moved, and knocking noises on the second floor's bedroom.

I've slept in that bedroom with a friend, all night long knocking noises that are too ambiguous to know where they specifically come from, sometimes the knocking is faster and then it slows down. The scariest thing is that my friend asked it to stop and it indeed stopped for a few seconds before it starting again... I swear I almost peed myself.

The taos hum. The hessdalen lights. The wow! Signal. The dyatlov pass incident. These are just a few that have been extensively researched, and have lots of hypotheses, but no proof of any specific scientific or physical answer. There's many many others that have been researched and haven't been conclusively proven or debunked one way or another.

When I quickly googled those examples they seemed to be natural or physical phenomenas with no agreed upon explanation, not phenomenas that is unproven physical, paranormal or supernatural in origin.

That doesn't even make sense. If there's no proven explanation how can you say they're physical or natural in nature. Besides which, the term supernatural is dumb anyway, because if supernatural things do exist, they would actually be natural, because they're part of the natural world. But there's lots of things that we don't understand fully yet, and a lot of stuff that is attributed to 'hauntings' or 'ghosts' or 'demons' could be things we don't know how to explain yet. Like the examples I gave.
