What doesn't fit here?
The core of the story has to be technology focused.
- If article mentions "AI" in a sentence and then talks about business economics that doesn't make it tech news.
- Gaming is too many layers removed from technology. There are many dedicated communities that are a better fit for it.
- Transporation is too many layers removed from technology. EVs while use many cool technologies have many dedicated communities that are a better fit for it.
- Entertainment is too many layers removed from technology. While sometimes it can fit here, business or cultural aspects of it are a better fit for dedicated communities.
- Cybersecurity. While it heavily focuses on technology, most of the time it's too technical for most people who are not already invested in it. Should be posted in a dedicated communities unless it has broader connection to other tech areas.
Post guidelines
Title format
Post title should mirror the news source title. If you don't like the title of article, look for an alternative source instead of editorializing it.
URL format
Post URL should be the original link to the article (even if paywalled) and archived copies left in the body. It allows avoiding duplicate posts when cross-posting.
[Opinion] prefix
Opinion (op-ed) articles must use [Opinion] prefix before the title. Opinion articles refer to articles that their publisher doesn't explictly endorse.
Country prefix
Country prefix can be added to the title with a separator (|, :, etc.) if the news is from a local publisher who doesn't clearly mention the country.

Y'all know phones have cameras, right?
Are you implying that people shouldn't be upset about the pervert glasses cameras because phones have cameras?
Calling them that because of the camera is undercut by everyone already carrying a camera, and routinely having them pointed toward you by holding the device.
The problem is the part where it automatically uploads shit to corporate spy agencies, not the hardware being a tiny phone on your face. The hardware is not meaningfully different from the tiny phone... in your hand.
I don't know how you hold your phone but most people don't hold them in a way where the camera is pointed towards people. In most circumstances it's pretty easy to tell whether someone is just on their phone or is actively recording you.
And cars have cameras and flock has cameras and ring has cameras and TVs and monitors and microphones everywhere. Its insane ppls are bitching so much about these glasses when they let Google home listen to everything inside their home. Almost like it's being fueled by competitors, rather than actual ppl.

What sort of TVs you buy? Smart TVs? They stull don't have a camera but that's a skill issue if you buy one
Jokes on you, i don't have one and i removed Google Assistant from my devices lol, i also don't see why it's a problem to bitch about yet another camera around our streets

I doubt it would be someone who also bought a pervert car and a pervert tv and a pervert doorbell and bugged their own home that would then bring up this problem with the pervert glasses.

I honestly think this is more of a problem than the pervert glasses at this point. Park next to Tesla: smile, you're on Nazi-cam. Even noticed an EV Mercedes had a front facing camera recently, because it was parked outside pointing directly in my windows. I guess that's OG Nazi-cam.
Meta competitors. The fact you swallowed the "creep glasses" pr narrative and now want them banned is ridiculous given the creepy ass shit all these companies are already doing. Like, google home is listening to all your private conversations FFS, but that's less creepy?
If you re-read my comment you'll see I made no distinction between the levels of creepy in all the pervert devices.
But, I can simplify for you: it's true that having a company/government spy on you is expected in this day and age, but that doesn't mean it is acceptable. Home devices can be avoided if you care for your privacy. People buying camera glasses and wearing them in public, willingly turning themselves into walking IPTV cameras controlled by one of the shadiest data scooping companies in the world, are the very definition of useful idiots.
Have you ever described any other device similar to 'creep device'? Probably not, or rarely ever.
Well, as you ignored that I just did it for like 4 different whole things which all existed before the Meta x RayBan Childsnappers, then I guess you'll just keep creating your own conflicting narrative as a direct reply. So, sure, I've never called any technology creepy before.
