It’s a good article and a poor match for this community, imo.

It is not, in fact, a good article. A lot of the text is nonsense mumbo jumbo, a salad of words vaguely related to the topic but often used incorrectly. My guess is that the journalist just didn’t understand what the scientist said. The other possibility is that the scientist was high and was rambling incoherently.

This is a verbatim quote:

Yes, opioids bind to a class of receptors called endogenous opioids, which you find in endorphins, for example. Opioids bind to these receptors—just like natural chemicals do—which results in a response. In some cases, because of decreased sensitivities and certain types of pain, they may enhance a sense of euphoria.

I think it fits the community. It's the headline that matters, not the article itself. Though this is a fantastic article.

Nah, noththeonion gave me some Grat and interesting articles like this one. I am often surprised that i read more than the weird headlines here.

In the interview he said a lot what i am thinking too and I am glad that i found this article here :)

The article is good, but the title is very funny and seems like it could be the set up for an onion style piece imho.

To each their own. I’m glad you posted it because I enjoyed reading it.
