I added an aerogel foam fromnaliexpress to my bed. So not sure how much aerogel is embeded in there. Could be it is just some glasfiber foam or something like that.
Temperature under the bed droped by at least 20C while printing Pla. Heating time droped slightly but my bed is pretty fast anyway. I couldn't measure a noticeable drop in power consumption. But I measured it just like 15min each run.
This sheet was 15-20€ for 50x50x1cm
So I think the temp drop alone is worth it at least for me. And there should be a power consumption drop for longer prints.
