It's not the users people block over, blocking an instance doesn't stop you from interacting with the users.
What it does, is block every community from that instance from your feed, that's it.
People block .ml, because while some decent communities may exist, their admins will see your comments elsewhere, then find any/all comments on their instance and either harass you or ban you.
The block just means you won't accidentally stumble into a place they control.
The minority of users who are really problematic, are likely to be banned everywhere else already
Citation lemmy.ml admins do this please? Also isn’t this technically possible with every single instance of Lemmy?
Their instance modlog...
It's technically possible everyone ran an Epstein level child trafficking ring...
It would be insane to investigate everyone equally instead of just the people we know are doing it...
That should be obvious buddy
Wow that went dark quickly. Not sure any of that was warranted
Wait till you hear about the "people's" revolution under Mao...
Yep, that's exactly the point
I'm not sure what you mean. If someone harasses you then you can just block them. If you block an instance it's users can still see your posts elsewhere and comment can't they? I don't politically align with the Lemmy devs but lemmy.ml is their instance and just like piefed, mbin, and others they can run their personal instance as they see fit. Isn't that the whole point of federation?
Yes, I literally said that earlier in the comment you replied to...
And...
Yes, that's why I don't make posts that they need to change, I just chimed in and provided context for why blocking their instance so you don't accidentally stumble into their places...
average day in .world when people just make stuff up
Just because that admin hid how to check on their instance, doesn't mean they can hide it on every instance...

That's your main admin, constantly doing mod level moderation all over the place.
Anything they don't like, anywhere on their instance, they censor.
he's enforcing the instance rules, just like any other instance admin...
So...
First you said it was made up...
I provided proof...
So now it's not made up, it's just totally cool that it happens.
You don't see any issue at all with lack of logical consistency?
you claimed that they do mod level moderation all over the place, deleting things they don't like
your "proof" was an admin enforcing the instance rules, which every good instance admin does.
edit: admin, not mod
