cis ppl will never understand the join of being literally physically afraid of the beach or pool for most of your life until transitioning. <3
Some of us have body dysmorphia, too.
I used to love the swimming itself, but I haven't gone to a pool in almost a decade.
Same same, it’s killing me not feeling okay enough to bring my little ones swimming. I await the post op stage where I can spend my summers just having fun with my kids without navigating my wardrobe so much to simple feel alright existing.
Not to take awya from the trans struggle, but body image issues are a widely spread issue that we can all connect over and hate society for 💪
In a perfect society it wouldn't matter what's in you pants, what are your measurements, how gender conforming you are, the color of your skin, scars, stretch marks, hair, or any other physical attribute. People would just accept that you are enjoying the environment in the way that you want.
And as an enby, I hope to see people wear whatever they want, whether it is a cis male wearing a bikini, a trans woman wearing a bodysuit or any person wearing anything they want (or nude, naturism ftw!)
