Especially ones about nefarious intentions or funding. If you're concerned: Ask. Please don’t fuel conspiracy thinking here. Don’t try to spread FUD, especially against reliable privacy-enhancing software. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Show credible sources. -
Don't accuse others of shilling
Send honest concerns to the moderators and/or admins, and we will investigate. -
Do not remove your help posts after they receive replies
Half the point of asking questions in a public sub is so that everyone can benefit from the answers—which is impossible if you go deleting everything behind yourself once you've gotten yours.

Firefox doing well at something? Guess it's time for Firefox fans to imagine them eventually doing something else that they don't like so they can gripe about that instead.
I mean... they are kind of pushing AI right now, probably to soak some of that VC money floating around, but there is also a toggle in the settings thats basically "dont ever talk to me about AI again".
Facedeer is just an AI evangelist troll. I guess one of his goals is to try convincing people of some "silent majority" somewhere.

They may also be pushing AI features because there are people who actually do want to use them. "Nobody wants this" is a refrain most commonly spoken inside social bubbles.
As you say, nobody has to use these features if they don't want to. If they feel icky even knowing that there's a configuration option there then there are plenty of Firefox forks out there that don't even have that. It's so tiresome seeing these complaints being endlessly inserted into unrelated discussions like this.
