Let's not start acting like MAGA destroyed the once benevolent Republican Party.
Republican Party: Smaller Government, Lower Taxes, Responsible Economic Policy, Family Values.
MAGA: Corruption, Racism, Misogyny, Lower Taxes for the Wealthy, Higher taxes for workers, Enormous Spending On Military and Vanity Projects, Violence, Endless War, Enslavement, Genocide, Cruelty, Ignorance, Incompetence, Pedophilia
They are not the same. The Republican Party no longer exists, they are MAGA now. The only reason MAGA is hanging on to the Republican label is so that they can still claim that they represent the traditional Republican values, which is a lie. Republican Party has been fully replaced by MAGA, and they should only be referred to in an historical, scholarly perspective.
The Democratic Party should officially refer to them as MAGA, and Red State election ballots should list the right candidates as MAGA.
The Republican party hasn't actually stood for or legislated towards those values since pre-Nixon. MAGA stands for the exact same thing the GOP has stood for for decades, they just stopped hiding it behind your list of buzzwords. I agree they are using the term 'Republican' as a veil, but we disagree on the timeframe.
Once benevolent.... weeeeeelllllllllll they were party in power when the emancipation proclamation was signed. Kinda did the Ole fliperoo on that one over the years though.
