Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Sports and culture have been dominated by men who have not only curated sports most suited to their mechanical advantages, but have also created a culture where men are more supported when it comes to getting into those activities. So, men have the advantage of sports that are more suited to their bodies and also a broader pool of participants compared to women.

This is why I included: "Given equal opportunity to shape and influence sports culture..." Meaning that women have capabilities which aren't favored in most current physical performance events because we have little to no say in the creation and rules of sporting events.

Women have some physical advantages over men, but hardly any give us an advantage in male dominated events that favor strength and speed. On average, woman have better vision with more colour definition, our hearts are closer to our brains so we can withstand higher G forces, and our lower center of gravity gives us better balance. We make great sharpshooters, pilots, golfers and gymnasts because of these advantages.
