Hunger stone (en.wikipedia.org)

A hunger stone (German: Hungerstein) is a type of hydrological landmark common in Central Europe.

These stones were carved during droughts to mark the water level as a warning to future generations that they will have to endure famine-related hardships if the water sinks to this level again. One famous example in the Elbe river in Děčín, Czech Republic, has "Wenn du mich siehst, dann weine" ("If you see me, then weep") carved into it as a warning.[1]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_consensus_on_climate_change

"There is scientific consensus that the Earth has been consistently warming since the start of the Industrial Revolution, that the rate of recent warming is largely unprecedented,[1]: 8 [2]: 11  and that this warming is mainly the result of a rapid increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) caused by human activities."

EDIT: A new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has found that billions of people will be affected by heat unbearable for the human body if global temperature were to rise 2° C above pre-industrial levels.
