It's insane to me that there have been so many cases of black people found hanging recently and they've pretty much all been brushed off.

There's something wrong with the world when a children's entertainer needs to ask the country to bother caring about it.

the family admitted that the victims was constantly being bullied, so good chance for suicide there too

Or, the victim was constantly harassed until being found hanging from a tree, so there's already a motive and likely a handful of suspects

According to the CDC about 12,000 people a year hanged themselves

Any estimates on how many did it outdoors, where they're likely to be interrupted? See, this is the suspicious part. Basically no-one ever attempts hanging in public. Here, you have seven people over a year and the police just shrugs.

So this is tough to track but the US NVDRS data says that between 2005-2014 there were 25,270 hangings. 90.7% of those involved hanging, so 22,931.

The three most common hanging points were Trees (2215), beams, and closets.

That alone says 221 people hang themselves outdoors every year
