i'm pretty sure that both are illegal btw
if you're interested in this, somebody made an open source re-implementation of it with excellent modding abilities.
No it"s not illegal, they don't even break the EULA or TOS in anyway, maybe it does if you never bough a license for the game but that's it;
I am not really interessed in Luanti tbh, it does not have the same mods or content
(Side note: i did read the entire EULA btw)
