TMI: oversharing of the past
There was a period, earlier in my transition, where I genuinely thought I didn't deserve to call myself a girl.My (at the time) best friend was not supportive and his gf turned out to be a massive TERF. They really grilled me...and it ruined my self confidence in the beginning, but it's much better now.
It was actually the first unsupportive encounter I had, when coming out.
It was my mistake, actually. I should have expected that. Back when I was 14 and my egg cracked, I tried to come out to the most trusted person at the time...him. He got angry with me. He said some bad stuff and it scared me way back into the closet. It's a shame really. My mom would have supported me and I could have gotten blockers...
But that doesn't matter anymore, it's in the past.
He also kept making racist and bigoted jokes through elementary school and beyond under the guise of "I just like dark humor, don't police my humor". God, I should have known...it was stupid of me to trust a person like that.
Hope he's doing well, because I sure am π
I'm literally just a girl, with an amazing bf, surrounded by nothing but supportive people. Couldn't care less about what two stupid bigots think.
I'm glad you're doing better. I am very early but I love seeing little parts of your life crop up in my feed. It gives me the fuzzies to see you living out my goals.
Thank you. I know I overshare a ton, but it was kind of my goal, to show people earlier in their journeys than me, that is is indeed possible.
