Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Oh yea, it's the classic linux ethos where linux lets you shoot yourself in the foot. In fact in this instance it's even the highlighted option. You can tell he didn't even read the popup, he just auto clicked the button with muscle memory. This one is kinda on Valve though, they should make that option less appealing in my opinion. or even better have an option that will auto-precompile the shaders as part of the download process. So when the user sees the big green play button it starts playing the game.
There should be a short explaination of what and why the shaders need to be processed over several launches.
