I wish we kept our indigenous names. Tacoma or Tahoma means "Snow Covered Mountain." Waaaaay better than Mt. Rainier.

You can blame Captain George Vancouver for that. Same for Mt. Baker and a whole bunch of stuff up the Pacific coast of British Columbia. It seems like if you ever even served George a sandwich you'd get a mountain or lake name after you by him.
