anthropologically speaking it might be worth paying her if she'll keep doing it. most cracks are forever, after all

I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Denuvo is sold as a subscription and the devs/publishers aren't going to be paying for it forever. They usually remove Denuvo in a year or two of a game's release, and then they usually get cracked immediately after
