Boycott US
Overview:
The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.
Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.
America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.
America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

If you're able and have a little bit of time and some airtight containers, you can make weeks at a time of dry mix very easily.
Then when you want pancakes, add milk eggs and butter/oil to the mix. Barely different than using the box, just a couple more ingredients.
Flour? Easy to buy Canadian. Cheap Sugar? Easy to buy Canadian. Cheap Baking powder/baking soda, not immediately sure but cheap Salt? If not Canadian, very easily non American cheap Milk/eggs/butter? Easy to buy Canadian. You're probably adding at least one of these to those boxes anyway.
And who profits? You.
Or if for whatever reason it has to be this way, you're doing better than most just making sure it was made here honestly
You know what? I'm down with that! Thank you ๐
I know baking powder has baking soda in it, but somehow whenever I use baking soda to make pancake mix it comes out tasting awful in comparison.
You are correct. Baking powder contains both sides of the acid/base reaction to create gas and therefore bubbles. Baking soda needs an acid (buttermilk, for example) to make it react.
To my box mix pancakes I add a bit of sugar, baking powder, and lemon juice. Makes them thicker but also crispier.
