Maybe it's cultural but I don't understand why would anyone wear shoes at home.
I don't understand why anyone would wear socks at home, either.
My feet get chilly. Yes, I live in a hot climate. I think that's actually part of the problem because a lot of flooring here is tile which stays cold AF!!!
Cold floors.
Also allows for doing cool slides on hardwood/linoleum.
No clue.y personal reasons are cleanliness and a personal hatred for wearing shoes. I don’t even like being in socks only. Whenever I can I’m barefoot. It’s just more comfortable for me.
Unless the weather is cold I don't wear socks either.
Circumstance.
If you're constantly going in/out, it's a waste of time.
And honestly it doesn't make any difference for me - my carpets get just as dirty just as fast whether I take shoes off or not.
I still take them off, but since I clean the carpets I know exactly how little difference it makes. It's a "feel good" exercise in my house.
Waste of time and cleanliness don't get align though. It must be cultural then. I just cannot even think about how it would be so dirty wearing shoes in the house. In Eastern culture, the home should be clean and not a place you would enter with your shoes on.
