I use my inbox as a kind of to-do list, so it's relatively empty, usually.

Is there a way to archive emails so they don't show up in the aggregate inbox or in the sub-emails? Ideally, I'd like there to be an easy switch/button to make archived emails visible.

Let me know if you want more explanation.

One thing I’ve considered recently is adding tagging support, which would let you create custom tags like todo, inprogress, and done. That could let you progress an email across those tags as you’re working on it, just like a task manager. Maybe even having a kanban board view. Would that help?

Another thing I’ve been considering is having custom searches that show in the sidebar and let you do things like mark-as-read and notifications. Maybe then I could have a way for one of them to replace the Aggbox, so you can have the Aggbox filter out your tags.

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me :)

Custom tagging seems like an improvement on my suggestion.

My only question/concern is if I can have certain tags be auto hidden (both in the aggbox and the specific sub-email). If I can have auto hide, I am happy.

I can kind of visualize how the Kanban board setup would work, and it sounds interesting. I'd be willing to try it out, if it became an option.

The sidebar search option sounds interesting. I'm not clear on how well it would work, I'm sure you have a better idea, but I'd try that out too if it became a feature.

Yeah, I think it wouldn’t be too hard to have a tag hidden from the Aggbox. Or maybe have an option to make the Aggbox only show untagged messages.

Either way you're suggesting seems like it would work for me.

I think you are saying this too, but just to be sure, I would like that effect to also work on the sub e-mails too.

For example, if I've already dealt with say a bill and tagged it as complete/done/read/whatever, I don't want to see it every time I reopen that sub e-mail and have to wonder if I forgot to take care of it or that it's a new bill, etc.

I'd like to still have access to the read/completed/etc. email though, if I want to go through the extra step of doing a custom search/filtering for it.

Ok, I get you. So basically hide tagged emails from all views unless you request them to be shown. I can do that. :)

Btw, I just fixed remote images to be much faster. So if you’ve noticed showing remote images was slow, that’s fixed now!

Awesome. Thank you :)

Maybe? I can't say it was frustratingly or annoyingly slow previously. But appreciate you fixing it regardless :)
