Are Most Jews STILL Zionist? One Year Later (tariqacknickulous.substack.com)

Last year in August 2025, I published my article Jews are NOT Oppressed: The Myth of Systemic Antisemitism. In it, I included an exhaustive list of polling data I gathered from around the internet on the opinion of Jews worldwide towards Israel. Most of the surveys were conducted after the start of the 2023 Gaza genocide. The results showed consistent and overwhelming support for Israel among the global Jewish population, with a rough weighted total average of over 85%.

In this article, I decided to go through newer polling data released since August 2025 to see if things have changed a year after I published my initial findings. Below is a summary of results from surveys I found of American, Canadian, British and Israeli Jews in descending order of recency.

The results show that while favorability toward Israel has declined compared to previous years, it remains in the majority across all countries. A majority of Jews polled also do not even consider Israel's actions in Gaza constitute a genocide. Most importantly, the question at the core of Zionism—whether Israel should exist as a Jewish state—still commands overwhelming approval.

Israel's Right to Exist as a Jewish State • US: 72-87% support Israel's right to exist; 66-83% say denying this is antisemitic.

• UK: 81-82% support its right to exist.

• Canada: 92% support its right to exist.

• Israel: 87% say Zionism is not racist; 85% identify as Zionist; 1% as Anti-Zionist.

Attachment to & Favorability of Israel:

• US: 55-71% have a favorable view or feel emotionally attached to Israel; 63% say supporting Israel is important to their Jewish identity; 70-83% view Israeli people favorably.

• UK: 75% feel emotionally attached.

• Canada: 69% feel emotionally attached. Views on the Gaza War & Genocide

• US: 73% say Israel's immediate response to Oct. 7 was justified; 42-46% say ongoing operations are justified; 49-78% deny genocide.

• UK: 81% deny genocide.

• Canada: 70% say Israel's actions are legal/legitimate; 87-90% deny genocide; 64% do not blame Israel for famine.

• Israel: 71-92% rate the IDF highly; 68% want Israel to stay in Gaza; 61% deny famine reports.

Aid & Arms to Israel:

• US: Only 26% support stopping financial and military assistance; 59% support sending more arms.

• Canada: Only 20% support an arms embargo on Israel; 71% support increased aid to Israeli civil society. Antisemitism & Anti-Zionism

• US: 83% say too many critics of Israel use antisemitic tropes; 38-54% view certain anti-Israel actions as antisemitic; 89% say anti-Zionism is linked to antisemitism.

• Canada: 45% say calling Israel "apartheid” is definitely antisemitic; 45% say calling it "genocide" is definitely antisemitic.

• Israel: 78% say anti-Zionism is linked to antisemitism; 68% say boycotts are antisemitic.

Based on the latest polling evidence, little has fundamentally changed. While favorability toward Israel and approval of its conduct have shifted somewhat, overall support for Israel—particularly its status as a "Jewish state"—remains nearly unchanged, with the vast majority of Jews continuing to back the Zionist project, even as they express reservations about its current government.

So one must ask: given the facts presented here—nearly three years into a genocide carried out by the “Jewish state,” by Jews, for Jews, at the expense of non-Jews, with the overwhelming support of Jews worldwide—why does the Western “pro-Palestine” movement spend so much time and energy doing free PR for Jews? Why go so far as to lie on their behalf about what they actually believe? The Western left loves to talk about "centring voices." Well, this is what they've said. So why speak over them?

It was addressed to Lord Rothschild because Rothschild was the British Foreign Secretary at that time. And by 1917, there was certainly significant collaboration between British and the rich Zionist Jews. But the political project of Zionist had been a major force in British Protestantism for several hundred years before being taken up in earnest by Jewish Zionists in the 1890s, particularly following the Dreyfus Affair. You can see the evolution in these two nato-pedia articles (sorry for using nato-pedia):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Zionism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zionism

Jewish Zionism was built on the foundations of major Christian movements based on converting Jews into dispensational millenarians, which was much easier to do following the Dreyfus affair and the rise of nationalism in Europe. Then a gory process of culling and power took place, where Western Europeans allied with the Zionists (who had adopted their goal) and the Zionist helped cull the non-Zionist Jewish population by collaborating with the Nazis and others. Then both collaborated with each other to simultaneously block Jewish emigration to most countries following the Holocaust and making the only landing spot available Palestine, where they would be used as the front line of the colonial project.

And remember, if it is a settler-colonial state (which it is), it is a "colony" which implies that is serves a colonial empire (in this case, the Anglo-American empire)

I mean we're just doing hypercope at this point. The Rotschild family was a rich Jewish family which bankrolled wars for the British and they bought on to the idea of a Jewish ethnostate because they just liked the idea. Sure a Christian might have come up with it but that doesn't mean Jews got forced into accepting it. They didn't get dumped into Palestine. The (then more fringe) Zionist sect of Judaism put in a ton of work to create their own little ethnostate.

Zionists insist that hating ‘Israel’ is tantamount to hating Jews, then in the same breath demand that people do not conflate ‘Israel’ with Jews. When I remark to Jews that we all are responsible for ending Zionism and the ongoing Palestinian genocide, I usually hear, “Not all Jews / Say Zionists, not Jews / There are actually more Christian Zionists than Jewish ones.” Well I am speaking to Jews right now, a people who support fascist Zionism in lockstep across every institution in our community.

[...]

Of our own volition, Jewish people crowned Zionism a central pillar of modern Judaism and fashioned ‘Israel’ into our new God. A hyper-militarized golden calf for an increasingly faithless people seeking a seat in the World of the Above (white supremacy, settlerhood, nation-building, power within Euro-Amerikkkan empire). We seamlessly integrated ‘Israel’ and Zionism into every facet of Jewish life globally: Zionism has no borders. Israel has not become fascistic vis-à-vis Netanyahu and the Likud party, rather Israel is innately fascistic because of its settler-colonial structure - same applies to Trump and the Amerikan Christian crusading settler-colony, Israel’s blueprint, as Dr. Mohamed Abdou articulates in Islam and Anarchism. Amerika and Israel are both irreformable and irredeemable, built out of the world established in 1492, entities erected by genocidal settlers atop mass Indigenous graves.

Almost half of the global Jewish population (~46%) are Israeli settler-squatters: They overwhelmingly support the ethnic cleansing of Gaza (82%) and the current US-Israel war on Iran (93%). Most of the rest of us live as privileged white settlers in colonies like so-called Amerika (41% of Jews). Those of us living in settler-colonies outside of Israel also neglect our responsibilities as settlers toward Indigenous Land Back and Black self-determination movements where we are; On Turtle Island, Black and Indigenous genocides have persisted for 533 years and counting.

When I state that virtually all Jews and Jewish formations are Zionist, I am including most of the very small number of Jews and Jewish organizations who self-identify as “anti-zionist” or “pro-Palestine.” Scratch the surface and you’ll find quickly that most are liberal Zionists, as Lara Kilani and the team at Good Shepherd Collective frequently note. All Jews who claim “non-zionism” are Zionist in their politics because they always disparage the resistance and conflate colonizer with colonized (ex. “We condemn both violence by Hamas and violence by Israel” or “A co-existent future on the land for both Palestinians and Israelis/Jews”).

I think you need to take a deep breath and read my comments again and whatever it is you are trying to say. Are you saying powerful Jews control western governments? I think you might just be disoriented because someone criticized you from your left. I'm not saying that Zionists have not essentially overtaken essentially all Jewish institutions and politics within Jewish communities, particularly in the US and the Zionist State. I'm not disputing anything in OP's post in that regard. What I am saying is that they are able to have the successful they have only because they happen to be serving what Western Christian powers perceive as their own self interest and are happy to use Jewish bodies to accomplish.

You're framing Jewish instutions and the majority of Jews as some innocent victim of this whom Zionism got pushed on when they're actually the main perpetrators of it. Once again Jews didn't magically appear in Palestinian houses because Christian Zionists prayed for it.

Zionism's definition is "Jewish supremacy". It doesn't say Christian over there.

This is Jewish Exceptionalism.

Once again Jews didn’t magically appear in Palestinian houses because Christian Zionists prayed for it.

No, Zionist Jews "appeared" in Palestine as a place to establish a "Jewish State" because powerful European governments made it happen. First the British, then even the German Nazis themselves (read what Adolf Eichmann said about his own collaboration with the Zionists and not only getting them into Palestine but also arming and training them). And the Jewish Zionist shared the antisemitism of those Christian Zionists and were great tools to destroy traditional Jewish institutions and replace them with Zionists ones. The project is so nearly complete now that basically all main-stream Jewish institutions in Palestine, Europe, and the Americas are simply Zionist institutions and partners in the project.

But you are being extremely naive to think that any of this is possible whatsoever without the full backing of the major Christian Zionist powers who wanted Jews to make this move (into Zionism all along). And not just their "prayers" but the full military and economic might of their countries. Or that it could be either accomplished or sustained without constant and total material support from the Christian Zionist powers. At this point they don't even try to hide the fact that over 80% of all military spending in the colony is provided by the US tax payers. Zionists are the mercenaries, but the Anglo-American empire is the colonial power.

This is such a warped reality completely leaving out the Zionist Jews willingly allying with all of these powers to further their own Zionist cause and offering money and other things in exchange.

completely leaving out the Zionist Jews willingly allying with all of these powers to further their own Zionist cause

Literally the opposite of what I wrote. My whole point was that the Jewish Zionist movement would have been completely dead-on-arrival without the backing of the Christian Zionist empires. But because they hit the sweet spot of what those powers already wanted, they found themselves flushed with the full power of those non-Jewish but fanatically Zionist empires.

Of course, you linked a literal reactionary who has been rejected by the left in your last comment, so I guess your reading comprehension is non-existent and you likely harbor some deep-seated reactionary views yourself. Seriously, why are you trying to let the US and Europeans off the hook for this? When Joe Biden says "if there wasn't an Israel, we would have to create one" why don't you take him at his word? Because you want to clean your own guilty conscience?
