Mutiny would be kind of pointless, is the thing. What are they going to do, join the IRGC?
I mean, that'd be rad as hell, but realistically mutiny would basically just result in everyone getting dishonorably discharged.

That was just one guy. It's not like they all jumped off with him.
Most of them knew they could just tough it out, and they were right, now they're out of there and on their way home.
there was that woman who was sexually assaulted too. and that's just off the top of my head recently, it does seem like it's some sort of shitty in there. they are having trouble selling this war to citizens and boots alike on top of that.
Not to point out the obvious, but, do you think any of the men onboard actually cared about that?
i'd assume most didn't, esp. in the military and stuff. does point to a few trends in there that can be destabilizing, though.
or are, who knows what they manage to keep off from the wider public.
Enlistment is down and stories like this don't help.
