I wish all the people who harp on about sample size would at least google it first before commenting that they know better than academics whose job this is.
The academics knows too that 3000 people is a small pool to conclude something like this
No, academics know how calculate sample size uncertanties.
If you want to draw conclusions on the ideas of 28 million people i would say you would need to survey at last half of them, projecting the answers of 3000 people to the whole population of australia is a big generalization
I’m sorry but you’re just wrong. Go read up on how this works, you should be able to find lots of sources.
I run a survey and interviewed 10 people on lemmy, i conclude that you are a tankie.
