So it's between two things I think
One is that he keeps talking about his pet real estate projects because that's been his life and what he "knows" (being generous).
The other that I hope is true is that he is very, very anxious that the bunker complex will not be complete by the time he needs it.
If he's hoping the bunker would protect against domestic unrest, he is stupider than I imagined.
But well, if he is still buying the Israel line that Iran will kill him at any time now... IDK... Maybe my imagination was just too limited.
It's not going to protect him if he loses all support and an angry mob violently forces their way onto the property, but it will probably be where he hangs out while MAGA makes its final play for seizing full control of the rest of the government and openly suspending the old rule of law. Even if he has little to worry about, he's a coward through and through.
Using it that way is a really effective way to have somebody else take the coup out of his hands right when it succeeds. And a really ineffective way to protect against it failing.
That said, this kind of stupidity is right in line of what I imagine him having :)
I think his plan is to sit there with multiple unseverable secure control channels and custody of the nuclear arsenal, and hold the world hostage for as long as he needs to.
The ultimate "taking my ball and going home," where the ball is sized to Trump's mental illness.
I think he plans to sit in the bunker when he either cancels the 2028 election or when he refuses to leave after a new president is elected.
Wow that would be so great. Pour concrete over the entrance. Leave the air intake open but route it through the new septic tank, specially built to service a public toilet block. Imagine the joy this could bring to the American people, inviting you to get creative with your meal choices. The spicier the better. The early morning atmosphere will be something special!
I'd like to say that a new president can be ushered in regardless of what anyone says if the current one is MIA or won't attend

Probably when "AI hacks" our monetary system and we have to replace the dollar with stable coins. This has to be done before 2028.
