It can still have positive and negative lingering effects but focus on the big picture for a moment

For me:

the opposite of having established redundant measures for safety kills. My finances have been improving since I plan for the worst and overestimate my liabillities while underestimating potential inflows

Several.

If someone asks "what would you say if I asked you out?", they're asking you out.

A closed mouth didn't get fed - meaning you had better ask for what you want. The worst thing that can usually happen is your are denied.

Take big risks when you're young and can recover. When you're older, risks are, well, riskier.

If someone talks to you about other people behind their back, you can bet they talk about you too.

When people tell you who they are, believe them.
