Maturing is realizing that java is a good language that gits the job done and has great balance of simplicity, expressiveness and speed, and JVM is a very good ecosystem. The main issue is that it's owned by Oracle. But I guess it's better than google atleast.

I prefer Clojure on the JVM 10/10 tho.

Learning clojure in uni for AI (not the kind we call AI now though) was so much fun. I wish I had more reasons for me to have kept up with it.

Fully viable option today. I make money with it. And was never hired as a "Clojure dev" . We need to do X, I find that clojure is great for X, and start creating.

C# is just too easy for me now (which is also what I use at work) but maybe one day I'll have a hobby project I can use as a way to dip my toes back into clojure.

personally i prefer systems that support basic features like operator overloading, multiple inheritance, and unsigned integers

Great. Clojure does all of that, although it eliminates the need to use them often.
