it does not look sleek, or cool. for some reason it reads as some crap samsung would try to sling
what is happening over there?
Oh man I totally disagree. I think it looks beautiful. I really want to try it out. But I understand where you’re coming from.
I think the aspect ratio choice is a good one, but it’s certainly different. I don’t think different is bad though. I think the choice they made was to prioritize the inner display aspect ratio, and I think that makes a lot of sense. I can’t imagine that if I had this phone my primary use case would be the outer display.
That’s fair, and to each their own. I just can’t see Steve Jobs approving this design as is.
This is really weird design.
It looks like they’ve taken an iPad Mini and made it foldable with an extra display for when it’s closed?
I like the look and size of it when open; it essentially replaces the Mini. But I can’t think of a reasonable use case for a “passport sized” device that’s got the 2D dimensions as a passport but the thickness of a mid-sized paperback. And that screen becomes an outer surface… so it’s going to get dinged up a LOT.
What idiot would ever put a screen on the outer surface?!?!?

“Foldable iPad mini that becomes an iPhone while folded” is probably my ideal take on the folding phone.
That's literally every single phone in existence right now....
It's 2.5mm thicker folded, than a regular iPhone pro is.
Yeah that was the idea.
