“In building Hope & Hard Work, we are finding stories that evoke empathy and understanding that can reach audiences in transformative ways; stories that transcend our own beliefs, and help us see the world through someone else’s eyes, and remind us of what we share. The projects we are working on reflect this ambition, and we are excited to bring these stories to the screen.”

This is the a-hole who told the world “I am a Zionist” from the biggest platform in Canada, during an ongoing genocide. I hope people remember that.

also invoked unconstitutional back to work legislation to break legal and legitimate federal union strikes: postal workers, rail workers, airline workers, CUPE. just to name a few

Back to work legislation violates the charter: https://hillnotes.ca/2025/10/07/constitutional-protection-of-the-right-to-strike/

Liberals (led by trudeau) and cons team up to continually violate this right.

You'd think leftists and right wingers could agree on, "Fuck Trudeau." But they're saying it for all the wrong reasons!

This community is new and very much a work in progress!

Community Rules:

  1. No hate speech or bigotry. A zero tolerance policy is in effect for this.
  2. CanCon is historically defined by the funding (did you know Porky's was the highest grossing Canadian film for decades because of this definition?!). Please feel free to be a bit more liberal in that regard here- if the majority of people involved are Canadian, if the stories are Canadian, if the setting/plot/tropes are Canadian, etc., it's all welcome here!
  3. Crossposts are welcome, but please identify them as such in your post title.
  4. Be nice, and remember the human.
