After 20 years in the Army, Master Sergeant Amiah Sale’s future hangs in the balance.

The Trump administration has made it a mission to purge all transgender service members from the military, but as the trans military ban makes its way through the courts, some service members, like Sale, are spending their days in limbo.

Fuck US soldiers. The pain that military has exported is known to all. Nope, being trans won’t get a pass from me. Anyone who has joined that military in the last 70 or so years should have known what they were signing up for. Any neo-imperial prospective soldier from Russia to the US to wherever should know.

At least US soldiers got a fucking choice. Brown children with PTSD from the sound of drones never had a choice. Thousands upon thousands of corpses. THAT is the primary legacy of the US military.

All you empire-apologist USians can downvote me and eat my shit, but please leave some for the beloved troops.

Ah yes, all 16-year-olds have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Neo-colonialism, and a full understanding of Marxist theory to make sound judgment against the framework that they've known their entire lives!

I don't think you need a 'full understanding of Marxist theory' to know that terrorism and crimes against humanity are bad.

We can’t keep running cover for soldiers, or we might as well do the same for cops. Even if taunting returning troops from Vietnam stopped a single US citizen from enlisting, it was worth it. Best thing the boomers ever did.

But not only do USians not shame their troops, they instead hold them up as some paragons of virtue. Not me. Nope. They’ll get nothing but shame from me. We’re not talking about people who make widgets and are having their union busted. I’ve never bought the argument that class consciousness covers US soldiers.

Prospoective soldiers know that their military makes things go boom, and in the case of the US military, they know that this happens overseas. Until the US starts believing that their military is evil, millions of people outside that shit show of a country will continue suffering. But I guess all the 16 year olds out on the USS Abraham Lincoln didn’t know that. Ahh, so sad for them.
